Card START-004

A Super Bowl party has two audiences: the people glued to every snap and the people who are there for the commercials, the halftime show and the seven-layer dip. Super Bowl bingo keeps both groups watching. Squares cover the football (touchdowns, sacks, flags) and the spectacle (dog commercials, flyovers, the Gatorade shower), so anyone can win.

Super Bowl LXI is scheduled for Sunday, February 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. Yes, that’s Valentine’s Day, so you may need to negotiate the guest list.

How do you play Super Bowl bingo?

The broadcast is the caller. Guests mark squares as things happen on screen.

  1. Print a card for every guest from the generator at the top of this page.
  2. Hand out cards and markers before the coin toss.
  3. Guests mark squares when they see them happen: a field goal, a holding penalty, a car commercial.
  4. The first to complete a row, column or diagonal yells “Bingo!” Have someone confirm the squares.
  5. Award prizes for the first line, then play for four corners and finally a full card through the fourth quarter.

The center square is free. Pregame squares like “Coin Toss” and “National Anthem” give everyone an early start.

How many Super Bowl bingo cards should I print?

One per guest, plus a fresh card for each new game if you’re playing several rounds (first half, halftime show, second half). For a party of 20, print 40 to 60 cards. Each card from the generator has a different layout, so winners come at different moments throughout the game.

Super Bowl bingo rules to settle before kickoff

  • Who confirms? Pick one “replay official” to settle disputes. Rewinding the DVR is allowed.
  • Penalties count when the flag is thrown or when the ref announces them? Decide in advance.
  • Commercial categories. A commercial counts for “Dog Commercial” only if a dog is the star, not just in the background.
  • Overtime. If the game goes to overtime, the “Overtime” square becomes everyone’s favorite.

Variations

  • Quarter cards. Give each guest a new card every quarter, with a small prize per quarter.
  • Commercials-only bingo. For guests who don’t care about the game, make a card of ad categories with the custom bingo card generator: babies, celebrities, sequels, robots, tear-jerkers.
  • Halftime show bingo. Squares for costume changes, a guest performer, fireworks and a stage that unfolds.
  • Kids’ table. Younger fans can mark simpler squares like Touchdown, Mascot, Confetti and Cheerleaders.

Keep it friendly

Super Bowl bingo is a party game. Stick to small prizes rather than collecting money; organized paid sports pools are regulated differently from state to state. If adults are drinking, have a designated driver plan and plenty of non-alcoholic options.

Super Bowl bingo prize ideas

Team-colored snacks, a foam finger, a mini football, first dibs on the wings, a team beanie, a coffee mug, or the honor of picking the halftime snack. See our bingo prize ideas for more.

Frequently asked questions

When is Super Bowl LXI?

Super Bowl LXI is scheduled for Sunday, February 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, to decide the champion of the 2026 NFL season.

Can people who don't follow football play Super Bowl bingo?

Yes. Many squares are about commercials, the halftime show and the crowd, so non-fans have as good a chance of winning as die-hard fans.

Is Super Bowl bingo gambling?

Not when it's a free party game with small prizes. Keep it to fun prizes rather than cash pools, and check your state's rules if you're thinking about charging to play.
