Free Printable New Year's Eve Bingo Cards for a Countdown Party

Not everyone spends New Year’s Eve at a crowded party. Plenty of families stay home with pajamas, snacks and the Times Square broadcast, and that’s exactly where New Year’s Eve bingo fits. It keeps kids awake (or at least happy) until the ball drops and gives the adults something to do besides scroll their phones. In 2026, New Year’s Eve is a Thursday, and New Year’s Day is Friday, January 1, 2027, so many families will get a long weekend.

How do you play New Year’s Eve bingo?

You can play it two ways: as a called game or as a TV-watching game.

Called game:

1. Print a card for each player from the generator above.
2. Cut the calling list at the bottom of this page into slips and put them in a top hat or champagne bucket.
3. Draw one slip at a time and read it aloud.
4. Players mark matches. The center square is free.
5. First to five in a row wins.

TV bingo:

1. Turn on a countdown broadcast an hour or two before midnight.
2. Players mark squares when they see or hear them: Times Square, Confetti, a Celebrity Host, Fireworks, Auld Lang Syne.
3. The first player with a full line wins. Keep playing for a full card through midnight.

How many New Year’s Eve bingo cards should I print?

One per guest, plus extras in case friends drop in. For TV bingo, print a fresh card for each round so you can play two or three games across the evening. Every card from the generator is different, so you won’t get piles of tied winners.

Ending the game at midnight

The best New Year’s Eve bingo ends right at the countdown.

• Midnight blackout. Start a blackout round around 11:30 p.m. The first person to fill their card gets to lead the countdown.
• Early New Year for kids. Many families do a “noon year” or 9 p.m. countdown for little ones. Play a quick single-line game that ends with an early ball drop on a streaming replay.
• Resolution round. Each player who marks “Resolution” or “Goals” shares one of theirs with the group.

Tips for hosts

• Stock up on noisemakers. Give one to every player and have them blow it each time they mark a square. Kids love this, and adults pretend not to.
• Keep it quick before midnight. Single-line rounds keep energy up.
